Santa Clara Early Creamer with Handle and Finger Impressions, c. 1900
$550.00
By 1900 Pueblo potters have miniaturized their creations to make pottery purchasing easier for train riding tourists. So perhaps from the early days of tourist pottery comes this small pitcher, stone polished, fired traditionally outdoors and decorated only with vertical finger impressions. The elegance of this pitcher speaks to the skill of this unknown potter.
