This is a choice example of early Tesuque pitcher with a subdued pedestal base. Larger Tesuque pitchers are very hard to find; small ones are far more plentiful.
The classic migration and crown design is set against a lush white slip. The slip avoid much of the crackling so often apparent in early Tesuques. The handle is tastefully decorated with a series of 3 dot elements and their is a red rim and deep red band at the base. Double framing lines create a dignified formal appearance. This is a stately pitcher.
Condition is excellent, original, unrestored with tiny chips at rim commensurate with its age.
