This is a gorgeous jar with large impactful presence. It has a beautiful old stone polished surface with clear separation between the black top half and the bottom half’s multiple shades of gray, gold, blue/black and red as well as many dramatic fire clouds. Red highlights glow throughout, a gloriously accidental function of the natural firing process. A great jar! Condition: The top appears to have been shaved many years ago (several possible explanations for this) and there is slip loss from use confined to the base. A vertical crack will be stabilized.
