Award winning Hopi katsina doll carver Randy Brokeshoulder was taught by his dad Nick Brokeshoulder and inspired by Manfred Susunkewa, Philburt Honanie and others. He is a multiple Best of Division winner at SWAIA Indian Market and specializes in large dolls, traditionally carved from cottonwood root. He makes his own mineral and vegetal paints.
