Elizabeth and Marcellus Medina created this large jar in their now iconic many birds style for their August 2022 show in our gallery. We are rewarded for looking closely to find two baby birds still in mama’s womb. Beautifully coil constructed, with designs painted from home made mineral pigments against a lush creamy white surface and finally fired traditionally outdoors; this is a whimsical and joyous and peaceful creation from two of our living Pueblo pottery treasures.
