San Ildefonso Long Neck Vase with Water Serpent by Rose Gonzales, c. 1960


This is a small and gorgeous example by Rose Gonzales (1900-1989). It is elegantly formed and carved, beautifully stone polished, as usual, to a soft warm sheen. Rose passed her love for long necked form to her nephew, Russell Sanchez, who makes stunning examples today.
