Acoma Utilitarian Shallow Bowl with Red Birds, c. 1920

Rare like this with mirror image birds design and pie crust edge; quite precise and beautiful with deep red mineral paint. Tourist pieces from this period are usually marked “Acoma NM” on the back, but that’s missing on this one and the bowl is unpainted; all leading to the likelihood that this is a utilitarian small bowl and a lovely one at that.

Size 2” deep x 7” wide
Condition Minor scuffing from use, original and unrestored
Provenance A Santa Fe collection
