I initially thought this to be an early tourist jar until I spotted Mabel Brown’s signature. Longtime Acoma potter Mabel Brown (1915-2004), one of my favorites, was known for her cow pitchers, raised coil bowls and miniatures. She would begin to sign her potteries later in her long career and this cute tiny jar with lightning and clouds is a sweet example from that period.
