Lucy was an older potter when she made this vibrant piece. The jar is thinly made and light with the painted colors bright and vivid. While the parallel lines are less sure, perhaps showing the effects of aging, the overall painted design with mountains, clouds, rain and lightning is beautifully done and lovely. Collected by the owner directly from Lucy at her home at Acoma Pueblo in the early 1980’s, this jar has never been available on the open market, so this a rare opportunity indeed. Signed on the bottom.
