Darance Chimerica resides on Third Mesa in the village of Hotevilla. He has been carving going on 17 years. He tries to stick to the traditional method of carving; at times it can be a challenge. He tries to carve kachinas as how he sees them in physical form; some he carves through word of mouth. His materials are tanned leather, string, pheasant feathers, duck and parrot feathers.
